  1. Sammy Keyes is one of my favorite teen detectives working today In this, the thirteenth book in the series, Sammy is finally starting eighth grade She s still secretly living with her grandmother in a seniors only highrise, but Officer Borsch, her nemesis in the first several books, is now in on her secret In fact, they get along so well that Sammy is even part of his upcoming wedding Things are not going as well at school Sammy is in the hated Mr Vince s home room and History class, and she doe [...]

  2. Would you ever get married when a wedding crasher is in charge Well Officer Borsch did The genre of this book is realistic fiction because the fictional characters act similar to real people Overall, I really like this book because the ending was unexpected and the book was full of suspense and horror The main character of the book is Samantha Keyes because the story is told in her perspective so we know everything she thinks and does The setting of the book is in a neighborhood in Santa Martina [...]

  3. I m twenty one, and Sammy Keyes is the only series I still sneak back into the kid s section to follow The best thing about the Sammy Keyes series is really, Sammy Keyes Well the author is pretty awesome too, but that s another story etrtr Sammy is a down to earth, gutsy teenager who happens to have a penchant for figuring out what she can t understand In this book, Sammy s key problem is figuring out who is making death threats about her history teacher, Mr Vince Life is complicated by the fact [...]

  4. Sammy Keyes is one of my all time favorite children s literature protagonists She is kind of my hero, I definitely want her to be my best friend She s tough but kind, has managed to let a life of bad situations not jade her into being bitter, has amassed an amazing amount of wisdom for a thirteen year old She s a fantastic friend, truly cares about the people she comes into contact with This book finds her once again in hot water, as she is apparently being blamed by the school authorities for s [...]

  5. I have a hard time rating any of the SK books with Casey in it lower than a four It s probably being generous, but he was one of my first fictional crushes Anyway, the downside to this book is I found myself less interested in the actual mystery part I dunno if it s my age, if it was just not as exciting as, say, Art of Deception or Curse of Mustache Mary, but I just didn t care too much Maybe it s all the mysteries I ve been reading watching lately So why the four stars Although I felt the main [...]

  6. Sigh Great SK adventure and I even solved it before she did Doesn t mean it was easy The ending was so cute and even the last sentence was adorable Love how the author always ends the chapters with some good suspense or gossip or a new Sammy Keyes SK idea to come in the next chapter the next page Hilarious quotes Hey, you look spiffidy doo dah SK to Borsch, pg 287 Uh your fairy godmother Here to say bibbity boppity boo SK to Gargoyle face, pg 284 I still couldn t picture Mr Vince going to a bike [...]

  7. Wendelin Van Draanen has a genius for writing fun, fast paced, gripping mysteries for the MG set Her Sammy Keyes series rank among my kid lit favorites, and this one is no different I love everything about this book, including the way she makes pre teen crushes romances so sweet.I am, however, surprised that 13 year olds date My 16 and 14 yr olds haven t expressed an interest in dating, and if I recall, if I can remember back nearly 40 yrs to when I was 13, I remember having crushes too, but had [...]

  8. Sammy and Casey give me feels man He s my favorite fictional boyfriend I love the Sammy Casey and all the side stories but the mystery was a little lacking I have to give it 5 stars because spoilers of the long awaited kiss

  9. Sammy finds some people will stoop to anything to get what they want Plus, she has some sweet moments with her mom, which of course is complicated and full of emotional turmoil I think lavender High tops would have been the best

  10. Sammy Keyes and the Wedding Crasher was a pretty decent book because of how somebody you know who s innocent is actually revealed to be a suspect I couldn t stop reading near the end because of how the climax of the book is revealing by the words written from the author Wendelin Van Draanen The author did a great job with illustrating the action that s taking place For example, How about we start with for perpetrating fraud, dude, and I m sure we ll have at least a dozen other changes before thi [...]

  11. ROMANCE I VE BEEN EXPECTING YOU Oh my door nuts This book was So great Just like every other book in the series, all of the plot elements, characters and dialogues are AMAZING This book is my favorite in the series because of that ending I was SO shocked but happy that that all came together The book was so funny, too I had a couple of LOL moments That s just what makes this series so great Sammy and Casey BEST COUPLE EVER I just can t get enough of their awkward moments together I REALLY love e [...]

  12. I really like this book because the character Sammy uses logical methods to solve the mystery For example she lays her clues in order to get the conclusion p.276 Another example why I love this book is the twist and secrets being kept from friends For example Sammy has to keep the sercet of Billy Patt writing DIE DUDE on the white board P.121 You would like this book if you like mysteries and crazy twist in who the culpit is I say this because the culpit is the victam Mr.Vince who set up the DIE [...]

  13. I really enjoyed this, Wendelin just keeps getting better as she goes I like that there is some character depth coming in with some of the characters and there s some nice life lessons inter mixed as Sammy is figuring things out about her friends and family It s easy to identify with the characters and the things they are dealing with and working through Even though I don t need to read young adult novels for my job any, I ll keep up with Sammy Wendelin is one of those authors whose writing app [...]

  14. I love the Sammy Keyes series I really do It s not as if the stories usually have extreme plots or anything for the most part, they take part at school, at home, at the mall, at friends houses but ahhhhh I just love Sammy, and Casey, and Grams, and Dorito It might be just because I ve been in love with these books since elementary school that I m so dedicated to it, even if you can tell that it s a book for kids at many points Because of that I m not sure if I can recommend it I don t remember l [...]

  15. Yes, I did just give this middle school level book five stars So what This, finally, was the Sammy Keyes book where everything came together Both the mystery and the personal problems were interesting and balanced I found myself not wanting to stop reading because I was so invested in seeing what happened in either situation Also, Sammy s mom is kind of the worst She s the worst I know she made some small steps in this book Sammy as well , but she has a looooot ground to cover I m still infuria [...]

  16. I have never read this series before and really enjoyed it Our crime solver, Sammy Keyes, is in 8th grade and lives with her grandmother, not her soap opera star mother Although, it is a big secret that she lives with her grandmother As 8th grade begins, she realizes she is stuck with Mr Vince the worst teach and he hates her As a last minute substitute she is asked to be in Officer Borsch s wedding, that is a whole set of headaches Mr Vince starts recieving death threats at school and Sammy is [...]

  17. Sammy lives alone with her grandmother in her apartment building with her mother in Hollywood becoming a star Sammy is a detective who helps out the police in her town solve mysteries In this book, Sammy is invited to Borsch s wedding until she sees criminals in the wedding place I liked this book just as much as the other Sammy Keyes books because they are interesting how a teenage girl can solve a mystery better than the police I recommend this book to all teenage mystery readers.

  18. OHmyGOSH i LOVED it It was sooo cuuuteee And seriously, I am a teenager and I completeley, truly Loved this book It was the greatest so far It was an awesome return to school adventure for Sammy It was everything I have been waaiiting for And the thing that I most wanted to happen, actually happened And the title makes so much sense The wedding crasher is No Am Not Going To Say It Must Resist Ohmigod it was so good I stayed up so late finishing it I honestly read thew hole thing in like 5 hours [...]

  19. hooray for a new Sammy book And, even exciting is that Sammy seems to have finally learned a few lessons Specifically, there wasn t nearly as much lying secret keeping at least from the important people in this on as say, the last one And, Sammy is still as clever, impulsive, and funny as ever I love the idea of the bridesmaid dresses I wish their had been some pictures There aren t many series where the books stay strong 13 books in, but Sammy really hasn t slipped at all I look forward to the [...]

  20. This book seems to have forgotten about view spoiler Sammy saving Heather s life last book hide spoiler Sammy also looks weak since Wild Things not standing up to Heather or Gabby, eating their shit I also doesn t like hoq the author seems to downplay the consequences of Vince or Heather s action They get off easily view spoiler and in the last part of the book it s like Vince s punishment is an afterthought hide spoiler

  21. I love Sammy Keyes, and this was a great one All of the usual crew are involved, and this time Officer Borsch is getting married When Sammy s mother, Lady Lana, shows up, will it help Sammy or make the situation worse If you love Sammy Keyes and her crazy adventures, this is a must read You do want to read them in order though there is a lot of back story that you need to understand everything going here.

  22. hooray for a new sammy keyes book and a really good one too most of them are good, but for some reason i can t recall, i remember being slightly disappointed in the last one the truth is, i have been in a wee bit of a reading rut i ve started and abandoned books that i can tell you thus, in walks one of my favorite detectives in the kid lit landscape to save me from the doldrums thank goodness for her i m going to be so bummed when this series ends.

  23. Sammy Keyes is gritty without being offensive, snarky withou being obnoxious, and REAL.Sammy Keyes ranks among one of my favorite heroines for realistic fiction, still, almost 6 years after I picked up the first Is Sammy a seventh eighth in this book grader, truly No But darn, if she isn t fun to read about Sammy Keyes and the Wedding Crasher, rated ages 11 for mild swearing, rated 3.6 stars, rounded up.

  24. I love Sammy Keyes and this installment in the series does not disappoint I think Van Draanen has her finger on the pulse of middle school, while throwing in a good mystery, too This one I could not figure out until Sammy did I love the character development of Sammy over the series, she is growing up.

  25. omg i finally finally finally got my hands on this next sammy keyes was so excited when i saw the book on the shelf at the library kids section but still I forgot how funny she is and yes finally some cammy time yaaaaaay its about time , as sammy sayslove them but theres all that stuff with sammys mom and caseys dadhope it all works out cant wait for the next one

  26. Sammy solves the mystery againSammy has a lot going on the first weeks of the new school year and her homeroom teacher is getting death threats which everyone thinks is from her Romance is in the air, but poor Sammy is having big time boy trouble Fun twists and turns to the end.

  27. I should be reading these in order as written, but can t find the earlier ones at the library, so unfortunately the on going relationships that continue on throughout the series I have found out, oh well I love Sammy Keyes, the character and her wit, though I did find this book a bit long winded at times and could had been done probably a good 50 pages than it should had been.
